QVideos

QVideos is a private, single-user channel-planning and publishing-support tool operated by Quang Nguyen. This policy explains how QVideos handles information, including information received through YouTube API Services. Questions or deletion requests may be sent to quangtn@gmail.com.

Use of YouTube API Services

QVideos uses YouTube API Services and Google OAuth 2.0 to access only YouTube channels that the user explicitly authorizes. Use of YouTube information is also governed by the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.

Information accessed and stored

Depending on the authorized operation, QVideos may access or store:

  • Google OAuth authorization tokens and granted YouTube scopes;
  • YouTube channel IDs, channel names, uploads playlists, thumbnails, and channel statistics;
  • video IDs, titles, descriptions, tags, thumbnails, privacy status, publication timing, processing status, and public statistics;
  • local plans, review decisions, upload records, and audit history supplied by the user; and
  • a short-lived dashboard session cookie and a local theme preference.

QVideos does not request or store the user’s Google or YouTube password, recovery codes, or two-factor authentication codes.

How information is used

The information is used to plan content, prevent duplicate uploads, upload owner-approved videos with private visibility, apply explicitly requested metadata or thumbnail changes, verify processing and channel state, detect drift between plans and YouTube, and display an internal dashboard. Scheduling or publishing remains a separate user-controlled action.

Sharing and third parties

QVideos does not sell personal information or YouTube API Data and does not serve advertising. Information is transmitted to Google and YouTube when the user authorizes an API request. The dashboard is hosted by Vercel, and its reporting database is hosted by Neon. Those providers process only the information required to provide hosting and database services. Authorized YouTube data is not exposed to unaffiliated third parties.

Cookies and device storage

The dashboard uses one secure, HTTP-only session cookie to maintain a signed-in session. A browser-local preference may remember the selected light or dark theme. QVideos does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Retention, refresh, and deletion

YouTube API Data is refreshed or deleted within 30 days when required by YouTube’s policies. OAuth tokens are retained only while access remains authorized. A user may request deletion by emailing quangtn@gmail.com; QVideos data associated with that user will be deleted as soon as possible and within seven calendar days. Deleting data from QVideos does not delete content held by YouTube. YouTube content must be deleted through YouTube or another authorized client that supports deletion.

Revoking Google access

Access can be revoked at any time through Google Security Settings. After revocation, QVideos will stop using the authorization and delete API Data associated with that authorization as soon as possible and within 30 calendar days.

Security

OAuth credentials are kept outside the source repository, the dashboard is password-gated, and stored information is limited to what the workflow needs. No security measure is absolute, but reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used to prevent unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.

Children

QVideos is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use after a change means the updated policy applies.
